Church Walks

On occasions we plan short walks together, sometimes with a religious theme and sometimes just for fun.  Recent events have included a trip to Osmotherley, with coffee in the old Methodist Church.  The minister gave us a brief talk about the history of Methodism in the area and said a little about this present building being one of the oldest chapels in the country.  After a walk to the Lady Chapel with comments on the way about the stations of the cross we had lunch in Osmotherley and then visited Mount Grace Priory.  Another walk was around York city centre, spotting a variety of different cats carved or otherwise on display.
